CRATER LAKE SURVIVALIST GROUP


One of the last remaining human outposts is in the national park outside of Crater Lake, Oregon. With its access to fresh water and it's relative distance from the nearest major city, it makes for a sort of hidden oasis amidst the chaos. There are a cluster of cabins made almost entirely of wood, with little to no metal anywhere in the vicinity to speak of.

Electricity is an irregularity; a gas powered generator gets fired up once a day at most - less if gasoline is scarce between supply runs. An irrigation system has been developed for watering crops, and a water purification station is regularly manned to make clean water for drinking. Don't expect a hot shower, not unless you plan on boiling the water yourself.

The population here is thirty or forty people, cabins are first come first serve with priority to families who can share and for high-contributing members of the society. Everyone else makes do with tents or self-built shelters - no campers are allowed, no metal, nothing that could attract the attention of their unwanted guests.

The leader of the settlement is Nia Jones, a strong no-nonsense woman who prioritizes the good of the group over emotions and rash decisions. The only time this comes into question is when it involves her teenage son Jamill (JJ), wherein she's likely to worry more about his safety than anything else in the moment. Aside from that she's strong, smart, and tends to call together an unofficial counsel of people before making big decisions for the settlement.

Members of the counsel include:
- Ian, who does most of the engineering for the camp
- Takoda Akecheta, previously a staff sergeant now responsible for armament, defense, and supply run organization
